Khaberni - As part of the efforts of the Central Bank of Jordan to enhance digital transformation and develop the infrastructure for financial services, the Central Bank of Jordan announced the adoption of digital identity through the application "Sanad" in all banks operating in the Kingdom as an official and approved means to verify customer identities, serving as a digital equivalent to traditional personal IDs when conducting transactions and banking services.
This achievement comes within the efforts of the Central Bank of Jordan aimed at automating and digitizing banking processes, which contributes to enhancing operational efficiency, simplifying procedures, and improving customer experience, in addition to increasing security and reliability levels in identity verification using the latest approved digital technologies.
The Central Bank of Jordan pointed out that adopting the digital identity allows customers to complete their banking transactions easily and safely through the digital identity on the "Sanad" application without the need to present traditional personal IDs, through secure and approved electronic verification mechanisms that ensure data safety and protection.
The Central Bank of Jordan also confirmed its ongoing work in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and related institutions to develop the digital financial services system, which contributes to achieving the comprehensive governmental vision for digital transformation.
