The Zakat Fund approves a 40dinar Eid gift for beneficiary families and the distribution of 12000 shopping coupons

Khaberni  - The Zakat Fund's board approved the payment of a 40-dinar Eid gift for each poor family and orphan families benefiting from the fund, in addition to distributing 12,000 shopping coupons valued at 30 dinars per coupon, as part of the fund’s plan for the month of Ramadan.
This was announced during the council’s meeting today, Monday, chaired by the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohammad Khalaileh, where he explained that the Eid gifts would be deposited in the bank accounts of the beneficiary families alongside their monthly salaries.
Khalaileh pointed out that the cost of the shopping coupons amounting to 360,000 dinars would be distributed in collaboration with the Military Consumption Institution and in several regions of the kingdom, in addition to distributing 40,000 food parcels through zakat committees from in-kind donations and their accounts during the blessed month.
The plan also includes the distribution of Zakat al-Fitr to its beneficiaries at the end of Ramadan.
He also detailed that the plan includes the delivery of 15 productive rehabilitation projects at a cost of 45,000 dinars, and the repair and maintenance of 6 and 10 homes for poor families at a total cost of 45,000 dinars.
It was also decided to hold an Iftar celebration for about 3,000 orphans and their families in various provinces on the occasion of the Orphan’s Day in the Islamic world, which coincides with the 15th of Ramadan, in addition to organizing a special Iftar for 300 orphans and their families and distributing cash and in-kind gifts at an estimated cost of 10,000 dinars.
Khalaileh confirmed the launch of a media campaign to urge citizens to pay Zakat and allocate a Friday sermon during the blessed month to talk about the virtues of Zakat and charity and their role in enhancing social solidarity, warning against interacting with any suspicious links that request personal information under the claim of providing assistance, and called to obtain information from official channels.
