Khaberni - The media spokesperson for the Association of Travel and Tourism Agents, Bilal Ruben, expects a gradual increase in the demand for performing Umrah rites as the month of Ramadan approaches, especially in the last ten days of the holy month, noting that this increase will not be significant compared to some previous seasons.
Ruben said that the interest in Umrah trips this season is still less than usual or relatively weak so far, pointing out that there are no strong indicators of a busy season, especially given the economic conditions and regional tensions affecting some citizens' travel movements.
He explained that the number of pilgrims who left Jordan to perform Umrah rites since the beginning of the season in July 2025 until mid-February 2025 is estimated between 140,000 and 150,000 pilgrims.
Ruben pointed out that the prices of Umrah trips by land and air during Ramadan will be encouraging, clarifying that the price per person in a quad room at the beginning of Ramadan will not exceed 225 dinars, and the cost of air travel will not exceed 450 dinars per person within the economic programs according to the kingdom.
He mentioned that issuing visas through the "Nusuk" digital platform has become mandatory, and in some cases, it requires submitting proof of a confirmed hotel reservation before issuing the visa.
