Investors Fleeing the Italian League

Khaberni -  Retired Egyptian star Ahmed Hossam Mido confirmed that Italian football is facing real challenges in attracting major investors, noting that serious investors always put a priority on investing in places that offer them full transparency and fairness in decisions.

Mido explained that the English league has become a successful model in this regard, as the management of clubs, distribution of broadcasting rights, and referees' decisions are characterized by clarity and fairness, making the investor feel secure and that their investments will not be subjected to injustice or transgressions.

Mido pointed out that the real problem in Italian football lies in the absence of this healthy climate, where investors feel cautious and hesitant before investing large sums in the Italian league clubs, despite the clubs' historic stature and the league's long history. He added that watching any major match, like the recent derby that the whole world watched, makes a sensible investor rethink a thousand times before deciding to invest billions in Italian football, as performance alone is not the new factor, but concerns about transparency and fairness are the main reasons for investors' hesitation.

Mido concluded his statement by affirming that these are not just superficial observations, but a tangible reality that the Italian league has been suffering from for years, and that any serious investment requires a clear, institutional environment capable of protecting investors' money and ensuring fairness in all aspects of the game, from refereeing to club management and financial resource distribution.
