Khaberni - Queen Rania Al Abdullah visited the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center in Mumbai, India, on Saturday, and met with a group of prominent Indian women in the fields of entrepreneurship, social work, media, and arts in a meeting that reflected the diversity of women's experiences and their growing role in various sectors.
She was welcomed by Esha Ambani, the Executive Director of Reliance Retail, before joining the rest of the women in a discussion session that focused on the diversity of women's experiences and roles in their different business sectors.
The center is named after its founder, Mrs. Nita Mukesh Ambani, founder and chairperson of the Reliance Foundation. Established in 2023, it serves as a cultural landmark that celebrates the performing arts and Indian culture, providing a platform for showcasing artistic productions and diverse exhibitions, as well as highlighting the creativity of talents from India and around the world.
During the visit to the center, Her Majesty accompanied by Mrs. Esha Ambani observed the work of a group of women engaged in embroidery, weaving, and making handmade carpets, as part of the efforts of the Swadesh initiative launched by the Reliance Foundation, which is a retail initiative celebrating the Indian cultural identity through handmade textiles and home decor to support artisans and promote Indian craftsmanship globally.
Earlier on Saturday, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Reliance Industries Limited, and Nita Mukesh Ambani hosted a lunch in her honor.
