Khaberni - The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate said that a security force followed yesterday in one of the regions of the capital a wanted person involved in drug trafficking who had three prior records in drug-related cases along with other various criminal records following the confirmation of his possession of a quantity intended for sale.
The spokesperson added that upon the arrival of the security force at the location of the wanted individual and during the attempt to arrest him, he resisted the force, whereby control was exerted using appropriate force resulting in an injury to one of the management staff, who was then taken to the hospital for treatment.
The spokesperson continued that during the transport of the wanted individual to the security center for interrogation, he suffered a bout of illness and was immediately rushed to the hospital where he soon passed away, after medical and emergency interventions were conducted and he was transferred to forensic medicine.
Explaining that forensic medicine determined the cause of death after an autopsy as circulatory collapse due to drug poisoning and an investigation into the case was initiated.
