Khaberni - Sony revealed in a new surprise about the conversion of the famous "John Wick" movie series into a video game, temporarily named "Untitled John Wick Game", which includes a complete voice performance and physical representation by the star Keanu Reeves.
An exceptional collaboration between industry giants
The game development is being handled by "Saber Interactive", the developer behind Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, with direct participation from the movie series director Chad Stahelski. This collaboration represents a qualitative leap in the film game industry, combining cinematic and technical expertise.
Matthew Karch, CEO of "Saber Interactive", stated that the team feels "honored" to work alongside Stahelski and Reeves to bring the world of Wick to life in a major game.
An original story preceding the films' events
Information indicates that the game will serve as a prequel to the cinematic series, with an original story designed specifically for a mature audience. The studio has promised to introduce original characters from the series alongside completely new characters.
Jennifer Brown, Global Head of Products at "Lionsgate" which produces the John Wick films, stated that their goal is to capture the "unparalleled action" and "distinctive combat choreographies" of the franchise, according to "BBC" network.
Keanu Reeves and his history with the gaming world
This project is not Keanu Reeves' first experience in the video game world, as he previously voiced the main character Johnny Silverhand in the successful game "Cyberpunk 2077". However, this is the first time he fully voices the character of the hired assassin John Wick, despite the character appearing in previous games.
The John Wick movie series has generated revenues exceeding 1 billion dollars (735 million pounds sterling) globally, and follows the story of the retired assassin, played by Keanu Reeves, on a bloody revenge quest.
