Khaberni - Russian doctor and heart disease specialist Denis Prokofiev offered some tips that help us avoid high blood pressure diseases.
In an interview with "Izvestia" newspaper, the doctor pointed out that high blood pressure in some people is not only caused by pathological and physiological reasons, but also influenced by personal daily habits. Adopting a healthy lifestyle, maintaining a normal weight, and avoiding harmful habits such as smoking and alcohol consumption, all reduce the likelihood of being affected by this disease to a minimum.
He added, "People experience fluctuations in blood pressure due to stress, weather changes, or after consuming too much salty food and alcoholic drinks, as well as due to smoking. Episodes of high blood pressure, as an incidental form, occur almost for everyone; however, sometimes eliminating the causative factors is sufficient to reduce the risk of arterial hypertension."
According to the doctor, the quicker a person pays attention to high blood pressure readings and identifies the possible causes for this rise, the greater their chances increase to reverse the progress of the disease.
Prokofiev emphasized the importance of maintaining physical fitness and practicing walking and light sports exercises daily to support the health of the heart and arteries and prevent blood pressure diseases.
