Khaberni - The number of payment transactions executed via the "eFAWATEERcom" system during January 2025 reached about 6.53 million transactions, with a total value of 1.39 billion dinars, according to the Jordanian Company for Payment and Clearing Systems (JoPACC).
The report, reviewed by "Al-Mamlaka", indicated that the total number of "eFAWATEERcom" users reached 5.09 million users by the end of January 2026, recording a growth of 0.9%, compared to the number of users in December 2025, which was 5.6 million users, compared to 5 million users in November.
The report added that the number of current users reached 5.04 million users, accounting for 99.1% of the total number of users, while the number of new users reached 46.2 thousand users, representing 0.9%.
It noted that the number of billers via "eFAWATEERcom" reached 686 billers, while the number of available services reached 2,346 services.
The report highlighted a decrease in the number of transactions executed via the system during January to 6.53 million transactions, recording a decrease of 7% compared to December 2025, which recorded 7.03 million transactions.
The "Telecommunications" sector topped the transaction list with 1.98 million transactions, followed by the "Water and Electricity" sector with 1.76 million transactions, then the "Government Services" with 1.61 million transactions, followed by "Wallet Companies and Payment Service Providers" with 509,000 transactions, and "Finance and Financial Services" with 290,000 transactions, then "Education" with 132,000 transactions, followed by "Unions and Organizations" with 64,000 transactions, and "Transportation and Travel" with 50,000 transactions, then "Gas and Energy" with 36,000 transactions, and "Commerce and Services" with 27,000 transactions.
Digital payments accounted for the largest share of transactions during January, reaching 5.28 million transactions, which represents 80.9% of total transactions, compared to 1.25 million transactions for cash payments, with a percentage of 19.1%.
The total value of transactions during January amounted to approximately 1.39 billion dinars, recording a decrease of 12.8% compared to the previous month, which recorded 1.6 billion dinars.
In terms of value of "eFAWATEERcom" transactions, the "Government Services" led the payments during January 2026 with a value amounting to 904 million dinars, followed by "Wallet Companies and Payment Service Providers" with 219 million dinars, then "Water and Electricity" with 77 million dinars, and "Finance and Financial Services" with 58 million dinars, then "Education" with 39 million dinars, and "Telecommunications" with 33 million dinars, followed by "Gas and Energy" and "Banks" with 16 million dinars each, then "Commerce and Services" with 14 million dinars, and "Unions and Organizations" with 7 million dinars.
As for the value, digital payments during January amounted to 1.15 billion dinars, constituting 82.8% of the total payments, while the value of cash payments reached 240 million dinars, with a percentage of 17.2%.
The average value of transactions via "eFAWATEERcom" during January 2026 decreased to 213 dinars, compared to 228 dinars in December 2025, and 216 dinars in November.
