Khaberni - Rennes FC trounced its guest Paris Saint-Germain (3-1) today, Friday, within the 22nd round of the French league, in a heavyweight surprise that shook the top of "Ligue 1," in a match where the Jordanian star Musa Al-Taamari shined.
The match started with a shocking roar from the Parisian fans as the Jordanian Musa Al-Taamari opened the scoring for the home team in the 34th minute, before Esteban Loebol doubled the lead in the 69th minute.
Ousmane Dembele responded with a sole goal for Parisians just two minutes later, but Breel Embolo sealed the hopes of the visitors by scoring Rennes' third goal in the 81st minute, granting his team a historic victory."
Rennes is approaching the European spots
Paris Saint-Germain remains at 51 points at the top, but its lead is now threatened as it could lose it to Lens, the second-place team with 49 points if they win against Paris FC tomorrow, Saturday.
Meanwhile, Rennes temporarily raised its points tally to 34, ranking fifth, marking a strong step towards competing for higher positions and qualifications for the European competitions.

The French Football Federation announced on the league's page that Al-Taamari has won the best player of the match award.
Al-Taamari also received the highest rating in the match across various specialized applications.
