Local press reports sparked a broad discussion when they confirmed that the young Egyptian actress Yara El Sekry received an amount of $100,000 in exchange for her appearance in the new season named "Ramez Level Monster", which many considered as "an extravagant salary".
The pace of controversy increased because El Sekry was not widely known as an actress except in the series "Fahd the Hero" last Ramadan, with the artist Ahmed El Awadi, which caused her fame, as she was not known before despite participating in the movie "The Money" with Tamer Hosny in 2021.
Other reports talked about the circulated figures being "exaggerated" and the truth much less than that, indicating that "the actual fee for the guest does not exceed $50,000 at most", but this did not stop the controversy and astonishment across social media platforms.
