Khaberni - The Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem reported that 65,000 worshippers performed the Friday prayer at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque - the Noble Sanctuary, despite the severe military measures imposed by the Israeli occupation authorities at the gates of the mosque and the entrances to the Old City in occupied Jerusalem.
The occupation forces stopped worshippers coming to Al-Aqsa Mosque at the iron barriers, checked their identities and belongings, and also stopped those heading to Al-Aqsa at the entrance to Bab al-Rahma cemetery, preventing many of them from entering.
With the approach of the holy month of Ramadan, the occupation authorities escalated their policy of banning from the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City in occupied Jerusalem, as part of a systematic tightening targeting Palestinians.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center in occupied Jerusalem recorded about 40 expulsion orders from Al-Aqsa Mosque or the entire Old City over two days, with expectations of an increase in the number in the coming days, as the delivery of paper summons or via telephone calls continues.
