Khaberni - Channel 12 Israel reported that dozens of Israelis crossed the border fence into Lebanese territory in the town of Yaroun on Thursday.
The channel stated that "dozens of activists from the 'Auri Tzfon' settler movement crossed the fence in the area of the town of Yer'oon and conducted tree planting operations inside Lebanese territory".
They demanded "the resumption of Jewish settlement in Lebanon, either on the grounds of historical correction or for the purpose of defending the residents of the north".
The Channel 7 Israeli website reported that the settlers raised banners that read "We plant roots - we sow security", emphasizing that this step is part of the movement's project aimed at enhancing the Jewish presence in Southern Lebanon, and that it is "necessary for historical correction and for protecting the residents of Galilee".
