Khaberni - Health Minister Ibrahim Al-Badour expressed his pride in the ministry's staff in various locations, appreciating their efforts and dedication in serving patients and enhancing the progress of the health sector, confirming that the achievements made were thanks to their dedication and hard work.
This came during an extended meeting held by Minister Al-Badour on Friday at the Royal Cultural Center, attended by the General Secretary for Administrative Affairs Ilham Khreisat and the General Secretary for Primary Health Care and Epidemics Riyadh Al-Sheyyab, and included about 600 hospital managers and health center and department directors from various regions of the kingdom.
Al-Badour emphasized the importance of seizing the occasion of Ramadan to enhance values of discipline and solidarity and instill a commitment to providing the highest level of care for patients.
He also stressed the importance of nurturing a culture of mutual respect among the administrations, technical, administrative, and medical staff, and building a working environment based on cooperation, family spirit, and teamwork, contributing to enhancing performance efficiency and achieving distinguished results.
Al-Badour emphasized that every official in the Ministry of Health, in their position, is directly accountable to the Minister, and is subject to continuous evaluation based on a clear criterion titled excellence in performance and delivering the best services to citizens and clients, stating at the same time that the ministry will continue its approach in motivating those who excel and appreciating their efforts.
He explained that the meeting’s goal was to enhance proximity and direct communication with leadership cadres in the health field and to unify efforts to elevate the level of health services, which reflects positively on the patient's experience and satisfaction, stressing the need to handle clients with courtesy, and confirming that “the patient’s journey” inside the health institution should be smooth and organized from the moment of their entry to their exit, and that patient satisfaction forms a primary indicator of performance quality.
He also emphasized the importance of adhering to official working hours, maintaining job discipline, overseeing field teams' work, and benefiting from "mystery shopper" reports as a tool for performance improvement, in addition to seriously addressing the observations of the Accounting Department and correcting them promptly.
He called for intensifying periodic maintenance of facilities and medical devices, maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness within health institutions reflecting positively on the level of service, emphasizing the enforcement of no-smoking within the premises of health institutions and complying with related instructions without leniency.
Al-Badour stressed the necessity of providing necessary facilities for people with disabilities and the elderly, ensuring they receive services with ease and dignity, alongside encouraging patients to benefit from the medication delivery service, which contributes to easing their burden and reducing overcrowding in health facilities.
Regarding complaints, he emphasized the importance of cooperation between liaison officers in hospitals, health centers, and various directorates with the “service recipient's voice” unit and the hotline, and the rapid response to observations and addressing them effectively to enhance citizens' trust in the governmental health sector.
He also urged responsible and professional dealings with the media as a partner in conveying the true image of health services, emphasizing the importance of providing them with accurate information in a timely manner.
In conclusion of the meeting, the Minister urged hospital managers, health directors, and center heads to participate in awards and competitive programs launched by the ministry and concerned institutions, noting that excellence will be linked with financial incentives and opportunities for promotion as a recognition of the efforts made and as an encouragement for more achievements, confirming that any vacancy will be filled by selecting distinguished competencies, based on clear criteria of fairness, transparency, and equal opportunity.
