Khaberni - Media outlets reported that the Brazilian Federal Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into the relationships of the convicted American financier and sex trafficker, Jeffrey Epstein, in Brazil.
The motives for the investigation are based on information about Epstein's acquaintance with a Brazilian woman from Natal, the administrative center of the state of Rio Grande do Norte.
Documents published by the U.S. Department of Justice reveal that between 2009 and 2013, the woman from Natal not only requested money from Epstein to cover her personal expenses and cosmetic procedures but also introduced the billionaire to other women.
It is noted that the complaint was submitted to the prosecution office in Rio Grande do Norte, and the investigation was assigned to the National Unit for Combating International Trafficking and Smuggling of Migrants.
The U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch announced on January 30 that the publishing of materials related to the case of the infamous financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was charged in 2019 with trafficking minors for sexual exploitation, has ended. In July of the same year, he died in prison, and the investigation concluded that he had committed suicide.
