Khaberni – Atlético Madrid achieved a comprehensive victory over their guest Barcelona with a score of four goals to none, in the first leg of the Spanish King's Cup semi-final, to put one foot in the final match.
Eric Garcia opened the scoring early by mistake in his own net (min 6), after a pass that went under the Barcelona goalkeeper’s foot.
Antoine Griezmann quickly scored the second goal (min 14), followed by Ademola Lookman with the third goal (min 33), while Julian Alvarez was responsible for the fourth goal (min 45+2).
In the second half, the video assistant referee “VAR” ruled out a goal for Barcelona for offside, after a review that lasted about seven minutes.
In the 86th minute, Eric Garcia was sent off directly after challenging one of the Atlético Madrid players.
It is noteworthy that the second leg will take place on March 3rd.
