Khaberni - The US Southern Command reported on Thursday that a US warship and a navy supply vessel collided during a refueling operation on Wednesday afternoon.
The statement from the Southern Command, which includes Central and South America and the Caribbean Sea in its area of responsibility, mentioned that the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer Truxtun and the fast combat support ship Supply collided during a refueling operation at sea.
The statement did not specify the location of the collision.
The statement added that "two people were injured with minor wounds and are in stable condition."
The statement continued that the incident is currently under investigation and that both ships reported sailing safely thereafter.
