After King Salmans Invitation Saudi Mosques Echo with Prayers for Rain

Khaberni  - Worshippers in all regions of the kingdom performed the rain prayer on Thursday, following the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, during drought and the delay of rainfall, and after the invitation of the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, on Wednesday, to perform the rain prayer.

The Saudi Press Agency "SPA" said on Thursday: "Worshippers in all regions of the kingdom performed the rain prayer, following the Sunnah of the Chosen One, upon him be the best of prayer and peace, in times of drought and the delay of rainfall, hoping to request more generosity from the Generous One to grace with His benevolence and kindness the rainfall across the country."

Worshippers flocked to the prayer grounds and mosques that were prepared for the rain prayer in all cities, provinces, centers, and villages of the kingdom.

Worshippers conducted the rain prayer in the Grand Mosque, led by Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Mecca region, and the imam and preacher of the Grand Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Awad Al-Juhany.

Al-Juhany in his sermon urged the Muslims "to fear Allah the Almighty, and to praise Him as He deserves, emphasizing that His fear protects from His punishment, and warned against sins and disobedience; for they have a significant impact on the lives of individuals and societies, as they cause the spread of diseases and ailments, disperse hearts, scatter unity, lead to the loss of dignity and strength, and allow enemies to dominate, and they are also reasons for withholding rain from the servants," as reported by "SPA".

Additionally, a large congregation performed the rain prayer in the Prophet's Mosque, led by Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Madinah region.

The prayer was led by the imam and preacher of the holy Prophet's Mosque, Sheikh Abdul Bari ath-Thubaiti, who "urged fear of Allah as it is the provision of the days, the shield in difficulties, and the cause of relief, clarifying that when drought prolongs and people look forward to a drop from the sky to rejuvenate life, believers remember that their sustenance is in the hands of Allah alone and only He possesses the stores of rain," according to the Saudi agency.

The Royal Diwan of Saudi Arabia stated in a statement on Wednesday: "Following the Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad - peace be upon him - in performing the rain prayer, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect and care for him - has invited to perform the rain prayer throughout the kingdom on Thursday corresponding to the 24th of the month of Sha'ban 1447 AH according to the Umm al-Qura calendar; everyone should increase in repentance, seeking forgiveness, returning to Allah Almighty, being kind to His servants, increasing in voluntary acts of obedience such as charities, prayers, and remembrances, easing the burden on God’s servants and relieving their distress, hoping that Allah will relieve us and facilitate what we hope for, and every able person should make sure to perform the prayer, following the Sunnah of the Prophet - peace be upon him -, and showing dependence on Allah the Almighty, with persistence in supplication, for Allah loves from His servants the increase in supplication and insistence in it,".

The statement added: "We ask Allah, whose power is unparalleled, to have mercy on the country and the servants, to respond to the servants' prayers, and to make what He sends down a mercy for them and an enjoyment for a while, for He is All-Hearing, Responsive...," according to what was reported by the agency "SPA".
