Khaberni - Irbid Electricity Company stated that main electrical cables with a capacity of 120 suffered technical damages due to a collision involving a large truck of type (LB), which occurred Wednesday evening in Juhfiyah town in the Irbid province.
The company explained in a statement today, Thursday, that the accident caused the severing of cables approximately 200 meters long and the extent of damages reached multiple distances, in addition to the fall of 5 electricity poles that need replacement.
Additionally, the company stated that an emergency workshop and two specialized pole operation workshops immediately headed to the incident site and began fieldwork to complete the repair works and restore normalcy as quickly as possible.
The company affirmed its commitment to maintaining the continuity of the electric supply to subscribers, indicating that it had worked to secure the electric supply to the affected areas by providing a temporary power generator until the completion of maintenance works and the full readiness of the network.
The company reiterated its confirmation of the readiness of its technical staff and emergency teams to handle various malfunctions and emergency situations to ensure the sustainability of the electrical service for the citizens.
