Khaberni - The head of the Azm parliamentary bloc, MP Dr. Walid Al-Masri, confirmed that the escalating phenomenon of Jordanian youth migration poses a complex national challenge that cannot be dealt with as a transitory situation, due to its direct implications on the path of comprehensive development and on the system of social and economic stability in the state.
Al-Masri stated that the youth represent the strategic human capital of Jordan, and that the continued drain of competencies abroad is a structural indicator that requires an in-depth review of economic policies and the labor market, emphasizing that building a fair and stimulating production environment within the nation is the fundamental pillar to curb this phenomenon.
He added that the widening trust gap resulting from the fragility of job stability, limited professional pathways, and unemployment, drives a broad segment of youth to seek their future outside the borders, which requires a responsible governmental response that restores confidence in the national economy and enhances its capacity to absorb young energies within real and sustainable developmental projects.
Al-Masri pointed out that the stability of societies is measured by their ability to retain their youth and employ their energies, affirming that investing in people is not a secondary developmental option, but the foundation upon which the state's sustainability and competitive capacity are built.
Al-Masri concluded, saying, “Youth do not leave their homelands fleeing from them, but in search of a fair opportunity within them, and addressing this phenomenon is a collective national responsibility that requires a clear vision and the courage to make decisions.”
