Khaberni - The Spanish newspaper Sport reported that Barcelona and "La Roja" team star, Pedri, is heading towards entering the investment world in a step that reflects the great maturity of the young player.
It stated that the midfielder bought an old building in his hometown of Tenerife for 2.5 million euros, and intends to invest in it and convert it into a rural hotel.
The Catalan newspaper continued that Pedri plans to change the look of the building, which spans 9500 square meters, by making radical changes to it while preserving its historical and traditional character.
It mentioned that the building includes 33 rooms and 21 bathrooms, a chapel, a library, a garden, and common shared spaces. The three buildings are spread over two floors and a basement, with enough space for a swimming pool.
It emphasized that the 23-year-old player is a real estate investor with millions of euros in Spain, working through his official company named "Pedrineta SL".
It said, "Pedri is a very young player, but he shows great maturity on the field. Indeed, he is the driving force behind Barcelona and one of Hansi Flick's most important players, but he is currently recovering from a hamstring injury in his right leg. Thus, the midfielder is away from the fields, but he is not wasting any time and is already looking towards the future, until he decides to retire from football and his direct football income stops."
With this step away from the fields, Pedri joins a constellation of stars who combine sports and "business," like Cristiano Ronaldo who also owns a chain of hotels, a fashion brand, and perfumes, in addition to his compatriot Gerard Piqué, Lionel Messi, and David Beckham.
The Barcelona star is also an outstanding advertising figure, having previously signed sponsorship deals with Plátano de Canarias until 2027.
