Trump signals a second aircraft carrier for the Middle East

Khaberni - In a swift military and political evolution, responsible sources disclosed to the "Wall Street Journal" that the U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) has notified a second aircraft carrier group to be on immediate standby for deployment in the Middle East.

This military move aims to bolster the U.S. presence currently led by the carrier "USS Abraham Lincoln", amid leaks indicating President Donald Trump might issue an official order for deployment in the coming few hours.

Alert on the East Coast and "Armada" pressures
According to the leaks, the aircraft carrier slated for deployment could launch from the East Coast of the United States, with reports mentioning names such as "USS George Bush" or "USS Gerald Ford".

Trump described this military maneuver in his recent remarks as a clear message to Tehran, saying: "We have a fleet (Armada) heading there, and we might send another one,” emphasizing that the military option remains powerfully viable if diplomatic pathways fail.

Diplomacy under the "shadows of guns"
Despite this military buildup, U.S. sources admitted to the "Wall Street Journal" that the details relating to the second round of negotiations with Iran have not yet been finalized.

This diplomatic ambiguity comes at a time when Trump is pursuing a "brinkmanship policy", linking the success of the anticipated agreement - which he described as "the preferred option" - to the readiness to implement "very strict" measures similar to the strikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities in June last year.
