Khaberni - Specialized inspection and control teams at the Food and Drug Corporation carried out 331 field visits to food establishments, including shopping centers “malls” and wholesale and retail food selling facilities and supermarkets, on Wednesday, February 11th.
The corporation stated in a press release that based on these visits, warnings were issued to 167 facilities, 7 facilities were suspended from operation and one facility, a cake workshop and its requisites, was closed, in addition to the suspension of a school cafeteria due to violation of health conditions.
The corporation added that the most prominent violations detected included the presence of expired food items, a low level of compliance with health and cleanliness regulations, and some facilities not having the necessary licenses, noting that necessary actions were taken against the violators.
