Prime Minister This year witnesses the launch of strategic projects in water energy and transport

Khaberni - Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan met on Wednesday at the House of Representatives with the parliamentary bloc of the National Charter Party, headed by MP Ibrahim Tarawneh; this was part of ongoing meetings with all party parliamentary blocs.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the government's commitment to close cooperation with the House of Representatives and all party parliamentary blocs, continuous communication with them regarding various issues, files, and legislation, and the development of governorates and improving the standard of services provided to citizens.

The discussion covered various local and foreign issues, where the Prime Minister presented the main programs and projects the government is working on, noting that this year will see the start of implementing many major strategic projects such as the national water carrier, the Aqaba-Shidiya railway - Aqaba-Ghor Safi, connecting Risha Gas to the Arab Gas Pipeline, and the Amrah city project.

The Prime Minister also presented Jordan’s efforts under the leadership of King Abdullah II in various regional issues, foremost among them the Palestinian issue, affirming that the priority is to support the resilience of the Palestinian brothers in their land, and intensifying relief and humanitarian efforts and reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

The discussion also touched on the most important legislation that the government plans to send to the House of Representatives during the coming period, related to modernization programs.

In turn, the head of the National Charter Party parliamentary bloc emphasized the importance of enhancing the participatory and integrative approach between the executive and legislative authorities, enhancing the concept of parliamentary work, and working as one team to achieve the supreme interest of the state and serve the citizens.

Tarawneh and members of the bloc emphasized the importance of maintaining communication between the MPs and the government, praising the significance of the recent government decisions, such as the decision to support universities by settling their accumulated debts over years, and decisions related to increasing allocations for the university student support fund, as they lauded the government's approach in field communication and providing tangible solutions and actions.

They confirmed that the current phase requires genuine cooperation based on responsible dialogue and the exchange of visions, which contributes to supporting political and economic reform programs and facing various challenges with a unifying national spirit.

They pointed to the importance of openness and listening to observations and proposals that enhance mutual trust and contribute to improving public performance and achieving development.

Last year, the Prime Minister met with all party parliamentary blocs, fulfilling what the government had pledged in response to the Royal Mandate to maintain communication channels with all parliamentary blocs.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Mohannad Shehadeh, and the Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Monem Al-Odwan.
