The First Statement by Deputy AlJarrah After Losing His Membership

Khaberni – The expelled deputy from the Labor Party issued a statement about the decision of the Supreme Administrative Court to expel him from the party, leading to the loss of his parliamentary seat.

Al-Jarrah said in a post on his social media pages:

«The decision of the Supreme Administrative Court regarding my expulsion from the Labor Party has been issued, and we say: God decrees and does what He wills.

I affirm my full respect for the judiciary and its judgments, for a state of law is built on respect for its institutions. We may disagree with some decisions, but the judiciary remains our reference for all.

Serving you has been an honor that I cherish, and I will continue to work from any position I am in, steadfast in my stances and principles, putting the interest of the nation above all else.

May God preserve our nation, and continue to bestow security and stability upon it, and protect His Majesty the King, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, our Arab army, and our valiant security forces.

Your trust is invaluable support.

Your brother

Dr. Mohammad Al-Jarrah».

On Wednesday morning, the Supreme Administrative Court issued a decision expelling Deputy Mohammad Al-Jarrah from the Labour Party, and accordingly, he loses his membership in the House of Representatives, by virtue of the Parties and Elections laws, considering that the parliamentary seat belongs to the party.

Al-Tubassi to Succeed Al-Jarrah

The young Hamza Al-Tubassi will succeed the member who lost his membership, Mohammad Al-Jarrah, in the House of Representatives.

The Independent Election Commission has acknowledged the court ruling against Deputy Mohammad Ahmed Ali Al-Jarrah, which endorses the decision of the Labour Party to expel him.

The Commission, through its spokesperson Mohammad Khair Al-Rawashdeh, confirmed that upon officially being informed of the vacancy of a parliamentary seat, according to the provisions of the Constitution and the laws of elections and parties, will officially announce the name of the deputy who will succeed the expelled deputy.

Based on the provisions of the election and parties laws, and the Independent Election Commission law, being that the vacant seat is allocated to the youth category, the successor of Al-Jarrah will be the young candidate from the same list that ran for the same party.
