An Effective Way to Overcome Panic Attacks

Khaberni  - A recent scientific study has uncovered an effective method that assists in eliminating recurrent panic attacks without the need for medication.

The study included 102 patients diagnosed with panic disorder, and the researchers divided the participants into two groups. Over a period of 12 weeks, they monitored the psychological condition of the patients after subjecting them to two types of treatment: the first group underwent a therapy based on muscle relaxation exercises, and the second group participated in a program of intermittent rigorous exercise that includes intensive running.

The results showed that participants who practiced intensive exercise experienced a quicker and greater reduction in the severity of panic, anxiety, and depression symptoms, suffered less frequent panic attacks, and their symptoms were milder. This positive effect continued for at least six months after the start of the study.

According to the researchers, short and intensive physical exercises can be considered a "natural" method to alleviate the physical sensations that affect those suffering from panic disorders such as heart palpitations, shortness of breath, and sweating. Moreover, this method is easy, cost-effective, and more appealing to patients compared to traditional relaxation exercises, and practicing it regularly may produce sustainable and tangible results for those suffering from panic attacks.
