Khaberni - The Amman Chamber of Industry recently concluded a specialized training program in the field of solutions and applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution within the framework of the project "Empowering Small and Medium Industries through Fourth Industrial Revolution Technologies", which was organized by the Chamber in cooperation with the Jordanian Institution for Economic Projects Development (JEDCO) and the Mastery Center for the Future of the Fourth Industrial Revolution InJo4.0)), with support from the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply within the framework of implementing the industrial policy plan.
The Amman Chamber of Industry explained in a statement that 15 training courses were organized in the field of solutions and applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including: smart factory systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), artificial intelligence in industrial applications, Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP), industrial robotics, cybersecurity for industrial systems, and Augmented Reality (AR) in the industrial environment.
The Chamber added that 285 trainees participated in these courses, including engineers and technicians working in industrial companies, IT company employees, and recent graduates in engineering and technical specialties. The courses were designed to combine theoretical aspects and practical application using specialized software and modern industrial tools and systems that simulate a real work environment in factories.
The training program was organized with the goal of enabling the technical and engineering staff of Jordanian industrial companies to acquire specialized technical skills necessary to benefit from the various applications and solutions of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which contributes to digital transformation, improving productivity, enhancing operational efficiency, and cutting costs. Furthermore, the program complements a consultancy services program launched through the "Empowering" project to provide technical assistance to industrial companies through readiness assessment and preparing necessary implementation plans for adopting Fourth Industrial Revolution applications.
The program contributed to achieving a number of important outcomes, prominently: enhancing the knowledge and application awareness of the trainees regarding Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, strengthening the ability to analyze industrial processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and digital transformation, in addition to helping industrial companies build qualified teams to participate in implementing digital transformation projects.
It is noteworthy that the project "Empowering Small and Medium Industries through Fourth Industrial Revolution Technologies" is part of the contribution to achieving the goals of the economic modernization vision, through supporting the digital transformation of the industry, creating quality job opportunities, and building a more efficient, flexible, and sustainable industrial sector.
