Khaberni - Jordanian athlete Lin Ashraf Al-Awad achieved a distinctive sporting accomplishment by winning the bronze medal in the sixth edition of the Arab Taekwondo Cup 2026, which was held in the United Arab Emirates with wide participation from male and female athletes from Arab countries.
Al-Awad's crowning came after she participated in the juvenile competitions in the G1 category for the under 59 kg weight class, where she delivered outstanding technical performances that enabled her to ascend to the podium, adding to the achievements of Jordanian taekwondo.
Al-Awad, who represents the Professionals Taekwondo Academy, confirmed that this victory was the result of continuous effort and intensive training, praising the support she received from her family, the academy's management, and the coaching staff, and considering this medal a motivation to continue working and achieving better results in upcoming events.
The Arab Taekwondo Cup is recognized by the World Taekwondo Federation and holds a G1 rating, lending it special significance in the player rankings, making this achievement an important step in the preparation of a promising generation representing Jordan in Arab and international forums.
