**Khaberni** - The American network "CNBC" reported that millions of documents that the US Department of Justice allowed to be published about Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sexual offender, clarified the extensive network of relationships he formed with a group of influential figures, including CEOs of major American technology companies.
The American network stated that the documents revealed ties between Elon Musk, who owns a group of companies including "Tesla" and "SpaceX", and Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, with Epstein, but they both confirmed they did not engage in any wrongdoing as a result of this relationship.
The relationships of Epstein with the heads and managers of major technology companies in the United States were not limited to Musk and Gates, but extended to another list of them, according to a "CNBC" report.
In the same context, "NBC News" reported that Department of Justice documents, including emails, show that Epstein was in contact with at least 20 individuals from the executive directors and investors in major technology companies.
"NBC News" reviewed some of these documents, as mentioned in a report on its website, which clarified Epstein's extensive connections with technology company leaders, including CEOs who are still in their positions to this day.
It is noted that Epstein was accused of running a sex trafficking network for minors, and was found dead in his cell in New York in 2019 before his trial, which sparked conspiracy theories about his elimination to protect high-profile figures involved with him.
Gates' Regret
Bill Gates said he "regrets" knowing Jeffrey Epstein, while his former wife Melinda said there are questions he needs to answer regarding this relationship, according to the British newspaper "The Guardian".
Gates' office issued a statement completely denying the claim that he hid from his wife contracting a sexually transmitted disease from relationships with Russian girls, allegations that circulated after the disclosure of Epstein's private files.
The statement issued by Gates' office described these allegations as "completely bizarre and wrong", as reported by The Guardian.
After the statement, Gates confirmed in an interview with Channel Nine in Australian television that these allegations were "false", explaining that Epstein was trying to extort or tarnish his reputation when he wrote in an email in 2013 that Gates tried to secretly administer antibiotics to his wife fearing that the sexual infection had been transmitted to her.
What about Musk?
The American millionaire Reid Hoffman, the co-founder of LinkedIn, recently posted an image of an email sent by Musk to Epstein in 2012, in which Musk asked, "What day or night will be the loudest party on your island?"
This move by Hoffman, known for his connections with Epstein, came after Musk mocked him for "calling for justice for Epstein's victims", where Musk asked him to "help with the matter as long as he is interested in it, and looking for the real killer".
Musk confirmed, as reported by "The Wall Street Journal", that he never traveled on Epstein's plane, and declined invitations to visit his island.
The newspaper mentioned that it was scheduled in February 2013, that Epstein and a number of his assistants tour the "SpaceX" company at Musk's invitation, according to the emails disclosed, and a Musk assistant arranged a meal for Musk and Epstein during the visit, but Musk completely denies that this visit took place.
Musk also wrote on the X platform on January 31 last year a post saying "I have never attended any parties for Epstein at all, and was invited several times to the court hearings of those who committed crimes with Epstein".
Hoffman's Relationship with Epstein
Documents released by the US Department of Justice indicate extended relationships between Epstein and Reid Hoffman, who co-founded LinkedIn in 2002, including friendly email correspondence between them.
The documents confirm that Hoffman visited Epstein's private island in 2014, along with personal correspondence including tax advice and plans for meetings between them, and discussion about gifts Hoffman sent to Epstein.
"CNBC" mentioned that Hoffman had previously acknowledged visiting the island, saying the trip was "for fundraising purposes", and he "later regretted" not researching Epstein more thoroughly.
In emails, the millionaire Hoffman was described as a "very close friend" of Epstein and tried to help him find investment opportunities in India.
Epstein mentioned in another message in 2015 that Hoffman hosted him for dinner in Palo Alto, California, attended by Musk, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, and PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel.
Investments Managed by Thiel
Peter Thiel's name, also a co-founder of "Palantir", appeared in Epstein's files, where the documents released by the US Department of Justice show multiple correspondences between the two men.
These communications started in 2014 and continued until 2019, just months before Epstein was arrested on charges of minor prostitution, and years after he was first officially charged with sexual crimes in 2006.
The documents include an undated conversation between Epstein and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, during which Epstein mentioned Peter Thiel.
Epstein advised Barak, as mentioned by "CNBC", on how to leverage his relationships to get a lucrative job at one of the companies, suggesting "Palantir" founded by Thiel as one of the potential options.
"CNBC" reported, citing the New York Times, that Epstein invested $40 million in 2015 and 2016, in two funds managed by an investment company co-founded by Thiel.
Sergey Brin
An email chain in 2003 showed that Sergey Brin, who co-founded Alphabet, the owner of Google, corresponded with Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's partner who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence after being convicted on charges related to sexual exploitation, about possible dinner plans at Epstein's home in New York.
In one of the correspondences, Maxwell wrote "Dinner at Jeffrey's is always comfortable... looking forward to seeing you".
Previous documents referred to the relationship between Brin and Epstein, but they did not include any legal violations committed by the former.
