Khaberni - Health Minister Dr. Ibrahim Badour confirmed during today's government and ministers' visit to Karak governorate, the progress of work on significant health projects in the governorate, which included the establishment of health centers and ongoing maintenance of existing facilities.
Al-Badour clarified on Tuesday via "Al-Mamlaka" that the ministry had established a health center in Ghor Al-Mazra’a at a cost of 2.4 million dinar, in addition to health centers in Sarfa, Imra’ah, Al-Ma’moura, and Haditha.
Al-Badour added that an amount of 1.3 million dinar had been allocated for the establishment of a new health center in Dhaan and Barda, with the project’s special study ready and complete, and construction will begin next April.
Al-Badour mentioned a project to establish an ambulance and emergency center in North Karak valued at about 7 million dinar, in addition to the new building for clinics valued at 5 million dinar, after it was inspected during the minister’s visit to Karak governorate two months ago.
In the field of maintenance, Al-Badour referred to the maintenance of the operating rooms in Karak Government Hospital at a cost of 125,000 dinar, in addition to various maintenance works in the centers of Al-Rabba, Edr, and Jeba, which will be ready by March.
He continued, "General maintenance will also be carried out for Karak health center next month, while about 600,000 dinar have been allocated to complete the maintenance of the Sul health center, after financial amounts were allocated from an external grant a year and a half ago, and the Prime Minister emphasized the need to complete the project."
Al-Badour noted the success of the heart protocol that was launched in several governorates, which last week saved the lives of 6 people in Karak.
The minister mentioned that there are final referrals of ongoing studies’ tenders currently to ensure the completion of health projects in the governorate according to the defined plans.
