Khaberni - The under-15 Al Ittihad Alexandria volleyball team was involved in a traffic accident after their bus overturned while traveling to the city of October 6th to face Wadi Degla.
The Egyptian Volleyball Federation said in a statement: We wish a speedy recovery to the Al Ittihad Alexandria players under 15 years old after they were involved in a serious accident resulting from the bus overturning.
Khaled Abu Zeina, vice president of the Egyptian Federation, affirmed the provision of necessary support and monitoring the condition of the injured in the hospital to provide all facilities until everyone recovers.
Egyptian media reported that the cause of the accident was due to the overturning of a private car occupied by 3 women when the front tire burst, causing it to deviate from its natural course and collided with the adjacent bus, leading to its overturn while the driver tried to avoid the collision.
The incident occurred just one day after an elevator carrying youth players of the Pyramids Football Club fell from the fourth floor in a hotel in Alexandria Governorate.
