Khaberni - News reports have revealed the Brazilian Raphinha's status, Barcelona's star, regarding his participation in his team's upcoming match against Atletico Madrid in the King's Cup games.
It is expected that Barcelona will face Atletico Madrid on Thursday evening in the semi-final first leg of the King's Cup.
Barcelona qualified to face Atletico Madrid after defeating Albacete, which knocked Real Madrid out of the tournament, with a scoreline of 2-1.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid qualified after beating Real Betis with a score of 5-0 in the quarter-finals.
Raphinha missed the matches against Albacete and Mallorca due to a right thigh muscle injury, which forced him to leave the pitch during halftime in the Elche match to prevent worsening the injury.
The Catalan club had earlier disclosed that the Brazilian player’s recovery period will take a week before he can normally participate again with the team.
According to "Sport" newspaper, "Raphinha will try to catch up for the King's Cup match against Atletico Madrid, but he has not yet trained with the team."
The report added: "Raphinha is making his utmost effort to participate in the semifinal first leg of the King's Cup against Atletico Madrid on Thursday at the Metropolitano Stadium, however, there’s still a significant doubt, as the Brazilian did not train with the rest of his teammates on Tuesday, which represents a tough blow for Hansi Flick, who still does not know whether he will be able to rely on one of his most important players against the might of the Rojiblancos."
"Sport" clarified that "Raphinha trained alone this morning at the sports city, but he did not participate with the rest of the team, which confirms that he is still suffering from a physical problem that prevents him from training normally."
