Khaberni - Member of Parliament Hussein Al-Tarawneh confirmed on Tuesday that the field visits made by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan and his ministerial team to the Karak governorate, the latest being the fourth visit in about a year and a half, are a positive step reflecting direct interaction with the local community, deputies, and official departments, commending this approach and requesting its continuation.
Al-Tarawneh stated in his remarks to "Al-Mamlaka" that the Karak governorate still lacks sufficient infrastructure and capital projects that have a direct impact on the citizens, especially concerning unemployment issues, despite the achievements made in the past period.
Al-Tarawneh mentioned that the government has completed several projects in the governorate, most of which are related to infrastructure, noting that some of these projects had been halted for more than 12 years, such as the Kharza and Katraba roads, in addition to projects damaged by recent floods, including dams, considering these projects important but do not have an immediate economic impact that the citizen can feel.
Al-Tarawneh explained that Karak governorate, and the southern governorates in general, need developmental and investment projects that contribute to driving the economy and providing job opportunities, noting that the absence of large factories and the reliance on medium-sized projects limits the ability to address unemployment problems.
Al-Tarawneh appreciated the implementation of the cardiac catheterization protocol at Karak government hospital, considering it a positive step, and emphasized the need for a larger hospital and an increase in the number of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds, given the ongoing shortage in this area.
He mentioned that the government has promised to resolve part of the debt of Mutah University, expressing gratitude for this step, and emphasized that following up on these issues is part of the supervisory and representational role of the deputies of Karak governorate.
Al-Tarawneh stressed the need for the deputies to continue following up on service and developmental issues in the governorate, in a way that meets the aspirations of the citizens and addresses the existing challenges.
