Khaberni - Two Yemeni citizens were killed and six others sustained various injuries after a hand grenade was thrown by an agitated individual at a group of citizens gathered inside a house in Taiz Province, western Yemen.
Local sources reported that the armed individual stormed into the guest reception room in a house in Al-Mehyal area, administratively belonging to Jabal Habashi district, where several citizens were gathered in a social session for “storing khat”.
The sources mentioned that the perpetrator threw the grenade following a personal dispute with one of the attendees, resulting in the immediate death of two individuals and injuries to six others with varying degrees of severity.
The information indicated that the assailant fled to another directorate after carrying out the attack, while neighbors and residents quickly transported the victims and injured to city hospitals for treatment.
