Marcus Leonardo decides his future with Saudi AlHilal

Khaberni - The Brazilian Marcus Leonardo, a star of the Saudi Al Hilal, has made his decision on the offers he received recently to leave the team "Al Zaeem", especially since the technical staff led by Italian Simone Inzaghi has not relied on him after signing Karim Benzema.

Inzaghi decided to sacrifice Leonardo and remove him from the team list, relying only on the duo Benzema and Darwin Nunez to lead the attack. The management offered to include his name in the Asian Champions League list for elite players only, but the player expressed his profound displeasure about this.

Leonardo is the top scorer for Al Hilal this season with 14 goals in various championships, outperforming Nunez who plays regularly despite his fluctuating performance levels.

He feels angered by the continued marginalization, which raises concerns among fans about the escalation of the crisis internally, or his contract being terminated unilaterally like his compatriot Renan Lodi did.

However, according to the website "bandsports", despite attempts by Flamengo and Atletico Madrid to enter into negotiations to sign the player, Marcus Leonardo has decided to stay with Al Hilal until June next year, at the end of the Saudi league season, even if his role is limited to training only during this period.

The report emphasizes that the player prefers to move to Sao Paulo if he returns to Brazil.

Leonardo joined Al Hilal in the summer of 2024 for a fee of 40 million euros from Benfica of Portugal and has a contract extending until the summer of 2029, where he was initially registered as a professional underage player.
