Al-Momani: The West Bank and Gaza Strip are occupied territories according to international law
Khaberni - Government Communications Minister, the official government spokesperson, Mohammed Al-Momani, confirmed on Tuesday that Jordan stands against any illegitimate Israeli measures that undermine the rights of the Palestinians to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Al-Momani added, during a press conference following a cabinet session held in the governorate of Karak, that the lands of the West Bank and Gaza Strip are occupied territories according to international law.
He pointed out that tampering with the laws and activating some of them, including the recently approved Cabinet law, would increase the ferocity of the illegitimate settlement in the West Bank.
Al-Momani emphasized that Jordan, along with Arab states, international law, and the international humanitarian system, stands with everything that can stop these Israeli practices, noting that Israel suffers from international isolation due to its actions.
