Khaberni - The Central Bank of Jordan has set the official working hours and operational mechanisms for banks operating in the Kingdom during the holy month of Ramadan for the year 2026, in accordance with an official circular issued to the banks.
According to the circular issued by the Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan, Adel Al-Sharkas, the working hours for bank employees during the holy month will start at nine in the morning and continue until three in the afternoon, while the hours for receiving and reviewing the public are from nine-thirty in the morning until two-thirty in the afternoon.
The circular also noted that the Central Bank has granted banks wishing to do so the flexibility to extend working hours or to provide banking services during the evening period, provided that the Central Bank is notified in advance of the proposed working hours and the names of the branches that the extension will include.
The circular emphasized the necessity for banks to adhere to the regular working hours standardized after the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
