Khaberni - The Amman Chamber of Industry organized a specialized awareness workshop on export, in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, the Business and Professional Women's Club Association, and the Jordan Customs Department, with the participation of representatives from (25) industrial companies owned or managed by women.
The workshop aims to raise awareness about the culture of exporting and its role in enhancing the growth and competitiveness of industrial companies, as well as enabling companies to understand the requirements and procedures necessary for entering international markets. The session addressed several axes, most notably:
Raising awareness about the culture of exporting and its role in enhancing the growth and competitiveness of industrial companies, introducing export statistics and data and their importance in supporting decision-making and how to benefit from them, explaining the legal and regulatory requirements for export operations and the essential documents needed, introducing the Jordan Customs platform “Jordan Trade Facilitation Gateway” and its role in facilitating export procedures, and mechanisms to access information related to export regulations, requirements, and documents.
It is worth mentioning that this workshop is part of the initiatives of the export enhancement and market access team, and as part of the project "Innovative Ways to Support Employment through Private Sector Development", implemented by the German International Cooperation on behalf of the German government (GIZ).
