Khaberni - The total number of visits to tourist sites during the past January was 263,124, with the majority being to the city of Petra, totaling 54,065 visits according to the data from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
According to the data, foreign visitors accounted for 70% of the total number of visits, Jordanians 25%, while Arabs made up 5%.
The Ministry's data indicated that the number of visits refers to the repeated visitation of other tourist sites by international visitors, as well as local visitors.
The tourism sector in Jordan recorded a positive performance during the year 2025, as the number of visitors increased to 7.04 million visitors, and tourism revenue grew by 7.6% during the year 2025, reaching 5,523 million dinars.
