155 million dinar exports from Amman Chamber of Commerce last month

Khaberni - The number of certificates of origin issued by the Amman Chamber of Commerce during the first month of this year increased to export goods and commodities to Arab and foreign countries, rising by 2.7% compared with the same period last year.
According to statistical data from the chamber, the number of certificates of origin issued by the Amman trade during January was 2279 certificates, compared to 2219 certificates for the same period last year.
The value of the certificates of origin issued by the chamber during the same month also increased by 32.2%, reaching about 155 million dinars, compared to 116 million dinars for the same month in 2025.
Statistical data indicated that Switzerland topped the list of countries most importing from the kingdom in terms of the value of certificates of origin issued by Amman trade during the same month, with a value of 52 million dinars and 8 certificates, followed by Iraq with a value of 47 million dinars and 206 certificates.
This was followed by Saudi Arabia with a value of about 8 million dinars and 223 certificates, then Syria 7 million dinars and 600 certificates, and then Egypt with a value of about 6 million dinars and 55 certificates, and this group of countries is among the top five in terms of value and number.
In terms of the type of products, the value of exports during January from foreign products (goods of foreign origin) amounted to 60 million dinars, industrial 17 million dinars, Arab products (goods of Arab origin) 12 million dinars, agricultural 10 million dinars, and the rest went to other products.
It is noted that a certificate of origin is a document used in international trade to authenticate that the goods in a particular shipment have been produced, manufactured, or processed in a specific country and is used by customs to determine the eligibility of the goods for determining their tariff and to verify the country of origin of those goods.
It is mentioned that the Amman Chamber of Commerce issues certificates of origin for Jordanian raw agricultural, animal, and natural resources products, for foreign goods that are re-exported, and for foreign goods purchased from the local market under specific conditions.
Certificates of origin are also issued for Jordanian industrial products according to the exporter's request, based on the original factory invoice certified by an industrial chamber, and an original and duly certified certificate of origin issued by an industrial chamber, proving that the goods are of Jordanian origin, according to the provisions of Article (29) of the Jordanian Chambers of Commerce Law No. (45) for the year 2009 and the instructions for issuing certificates of origin for the year 2013.
