Khaberni - The technical director of Al-Faisaly team, Captain Abdullah Abu Zama, said he is proud to take on the task of coaching Al-Faisaly Club, describing it as a pole next to Al-Wehdat club, and pointing out that any major club finds it difficult when a player or coach transfers from a rival team.
Abu Zama confirmed that he does not consider his move to coach Al-Faisaly as a provocation to Al-Wehdat team, explaining that Al-Faisaly's technical performance had declined during the last three matches, not just in the recent Al-Wehdat match, pointing out that he does not know the reasons for this decline.
Nevertheless, he expressed his optimism about the possibility of winning titles with Al-Faisaly, emphasizing that the team needs to realign its technical aspects through the performance of the players, expressing his confidence in the technical team's ability to bring Al-Faisaly back into competition.
He mentioned that relying on two star players who can make a difference poses a challenge, explaining that the absence of Mohammad Al-Halaq due to suspension, and the injuries of Ahmad Al-Arsan and Magdy Al-Attar, had a clear impact.
He added that Al-Faisaly lost the match, but the competition is still ongoing with the leading teams, and that the team is close in points to the top, asserting that such matches have solutions, but opportunities for victory should not be squandered against teams competing for relegation.
Abu Zama asked Al-Faisaly fans for patience, confirming his optimism with their support, and describing the fans as strong and solid, adding that the technical team will do everything it can for the club to win the championship, noting that the loss against Al-Wehdat was a strong blow, but the team is capable of standing up again and competing.
Meanwhile, Al-Wehdat coach Jamal Mahmood said that the match against Al-Faisaly made him prepare more than one scenario for the encounter, explaining that Abdullah Abu Zama taking over as coach of Al-Faisaly confused him in terms of technical ideas, while Abu Zama confirmed that his move to coach Al-Faisaly did not constitute a provocation to Al-Wehdat team.
Al-Wehdat team had won against Al-Faisaly team by two goals to nil, in the match that took place last Saturday at King Abdullah International Stadium, as part of the 14th round of the Professionals League.
Mahmood said that his team's match against Al-Faisaly involved more than one scenario, and the scenario that was drawn was executed with the efforts of the players and the technical and medical staff, in what he described as a major matchup.
Mahmood explained in his talk to the program "The Captain" that Abdullah Abu Zama taking over as coach of Al-Faisaly confused him in terms of reading the technical ideas, indicating that the sudden change in the coaching staff forced him to prepare more than one scenario before the match, especially as the play options were based on the previous coach's approach.
He confirmed to "The Kingdom", that Abu Zama becoming the coach of Al-Faisaly does not carry any positive or negative impact on Al-Wehdat team.
