Khaberni - University student Eilishia Skinner, who won the title of Miss Faversham City in 2022, was killed after a tragic accident in front of her Buckinghamshire New University residence.
The incident occurred when 21-year-old Eilishia Skinner was moving her personal belongings from her car parked outside a Buckinghamshire New University residence in High Wycombe.
During this, the car unexpectedly rolled backwards, trapping her between the vehicle and the building wall, causing her to sustain severe injuries.
According to her family, Eilishia managed to call the emergency number while trapped, before the ambulance crews arrived at the scene within minutes.
Her residence colleagues participated in initial first aid efforts until the medical teams arrived, who then transported her to the hospital in critical condition.

Death After Days of Medical Care
The university student was transferred to the hospital, where she received intensive medical care, but her health deteriorated rapidly, leading to her death days later, on the 8th of January.
The authorities confirmed that the severity of her injuries made it impossible to save her despite the medical efforts made.
Buckinghamshire New University announced its decision to posthumously award Eilishia Skinner a Bachelor of Social Work honors degree, in recognition of her academic commitment during her years at the university, describing her as a model of seriousness and ambition within the academic community.

A Poignant Funeral in Her Hometown
Faversham witnessed a moving farewell ceremony, where family members, friends, and over 200 people gathered at Saint Mary of Charity Church to celebrate her life.
The funeral procession began with a horse-drawn carriage passing by her former school, heading towards the church, in a tradition imbued with a personal touch reflecting her connection to the place.
Mourners were invited to wear pink ties, signifying her favorite color, while eulogies were delivered by her family members, friends, and former teachers. During the ceremony, highlights of her life and interests in fashion and social events were recalled, in addition to her close relationship with her family.

Prominent Social and Community Activism
During her school years, Eilishia Skinner stood out for her academic excellence and involvement in community activities, helping to organize school events and support campaigns for local organizations.
Despite her sociable nature, her decision to compete in her city's beauty pageant came as a surprise to her family, before she won the title and participated in events representing the city at the county level.
The deceased also participated in multiple charity activities, raising donations for local institutions, and established long-term friendships through attending various events and occasions.
Later, she was crowned "Queen of Kindness" at an official event, in recognition of her sociable personality and positive relationships with those around her.
A Charitable Initiative Named After Her
Her family launched a donation campaign named after Eilishia Skinner for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance Service, in appreciation of the role played by medical teams during her transfer to the hospital.
Her mother expressed the family's gratitude for the extensive support received from people who knew her and others who had never met her before.
In the same context, the Beaconsfield Coroner's Court began preliminary investigation sessions, during which details of the accident, including how the parked car moved and collided with her, were reviewed.
The court scheduled a full investigation session for the 23rd of June, to further examine the causes of death and the circumstances surrounding it.
