Cooperation Agreement between Arab Amman University and Mega Lab Medical Laboratories to Enhance Field Training for Applied Medi

Khaberni - In an effort to enhance strategic partnerships with leading healthcare institutions, the university has signed a cooperation agreement with Mega Lab Medical Laboratories, aiming to support the educational process and practical training for students of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, and enhance integration between the academic and practical aspects, contributing to the preparation of qualified medical staff to meet the requirements of the labor market. The agreement was signed by the university president, Professor Mohammad Al-Wadyan, and the General Manager of Mega Lab Medical Laboratories, Mr. Mazen Abu Sheikha, with the attendance of Professor Dr. Rana Abu Houeij, Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, and Dr. Bilal Al-Shoumali, head of the Medical Sciences department at the university. 
This agreement comes within the framework of Arab Amman University's strategy to strengthen its strategic partnerships, and to provide quality field training opportunities for students at the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Mega Lab Medical Laboratories, in accordance with approved regulations and instructions, ensuring high-quality educational and training outcomes, alongside enhancing the exchange of expertise, and supporting the practical aspects related to the academic programs, contributing to improving the students' efficiency and developing their professional skills.
In turn, Dr. Al-Wadyan expressed his pride in this fruitful cooperation, pointing out that the agreement is part of Arab Amman University's vision aimed at building effective partnerships with health sector institutions, linking study plans with practical realities, and enabling students to gain the necessary field experience before graduation, which enhances their readiness to engage in the labor market efficiently and effectively. He highlighted that the College of Applied Medical Sciences receives special attention from the university, due to its vital role in supporting the health sector, and he affirmed the university's continuous commitment to developing its academic and training programs according to the highest quality standards and accreditation.
Mr. Abu Sheikha expressed his delight at signing the agreement with Arab Amman University, valuing its academic reputation and distinguished status, and confirmed Mega Lab Medical Laboratories' readiness to provide a supportive and stimulating training environment for students of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, helping to hone their practical skills and transfer professional experiences to them, serving the interests of the students, the institution, and the health sector in general, especially since Mega Lab Medical Laboratories is among the accredited medical laboratories in the kingdom, offering advanced laboratory services according to the latest medical standards, and contributing to supporting the healthcare system through providing accurate examinations and qualified staff, in addition to supporting therapeutic nutrition fields through involving students in practical aspects related to nutritional assessment and related laboratory tests, and enhancing scientific research through cooperation in implementing applied research and studies that contribute to the development of health services and improving the quality of care provided, making it an effective training partner in preparing medical competences. 
In turn, Dr. Abu Houeij noted that this agreement will positively reflect on the educational and training process at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, by providing quality field training opportunities for the college students, and enhancing the practical side of the academic programs, which contributes to honing the students' skills and increasing their professional readiness. She added that the university continues to introduce quality programs that keep pace with rapid scientific advancements. Recently, the College of Applied Medical Sciences launched a Bachelor's program in Bioinformatics, the first of its kind at the level of Jordanian universities, and the second at the Arab regional level, which enhances the integration of medical specialties with digital technologies and artificial intelligence, contributing to the preparation of cadres capable of meeting future requirements in the health sector.
