Iran Security Arrests the Head of the Reform Front Azar Mansouri

Khaberni - The Iranian security arrested the head of the "Reform Front" Azar Mansouri, along with the leader in the front Ibrahim Asgharzadeh, and the activist Mohsen Amezadeh.
The Tehran Prosecutor General stated that 4 individuals were detained and a number of other prominent political elements supporting Israel and the United States were summoned for questioning.

The Prosecutor General mentioned that the terrorist events that took place in January within the country, which proved by their form and type of operations to be operationally and operationally linked to the Zionist entity and hostile arrogance agencies, were backed by an organizational, media, and justificatory network that operated behind the scenes and in the virtual space, with the aim of polishing and justifying violent and terrorist acts, as well as influencing the country's internal security.

He stated that, based on precise monitoring conducted in the virtual space and practical behavior analysis of some prominent political elements in certain political currents, the Tehran Prosecutor General placed the investigation of these individuals on a special agenda.

The Prosecutor General confirmed that the concerned individuals organized and led broad organizational activities aimed at disrupting the political and social conditions in the country amid the American military threats and threats from Tel Aviv.

He pointed out that during the events in January, they exerted their utmost efforts to justify the actions of the terrorist elements on the ground.

He explained that, by order of the Tehran Public Prosecution, this current was under precise monitoring and tracking, and the individuals involved in this ring were identified, their behavior was scrutinized, and they were placed under intelligence surveillance.

He noted that after completing the investigation into the nature of the work and activity of this current linked to a political party, the active elements working for Israel and the United States were detained, and their number was four.

The Tehran Prosecutor General confirmed that this ring consisted of extremist elements that worked on stirring up the internal atmosphere in the country, and through leveling accusations and spreading incorrect positions against the state, sought to undermine national unity.

According to the "Fars" agency, the detainees face charges of "targeting national unity, opposing the Constitution, coordinating with enemy propaganda, promoting surrender, dispersing political groups, and establishing secret sabotage mechanisms".

In this context, the head of the judiciary in Iran assured the "Fars" agency that the accused and convicted in the recent rioting will not be included on the pardon lists.

The protests in Iran erupted in late December 2025 following the depreciation of the national currency and subsequently evolved into broader confrontations.

The protests reached their peak after calls and incitement by Reza Pahlavi, the son of the deposed Iranian Shah.

The Iranian authorities accused the United States and Israel of organizing the disturbances, and announced on January 12, 2026, that they had taken control of the situation.
