Khaberni - The Egyptian artistic community witnessed a state of controversy following the recent crisis that erupted between the actresses Hend Sabry and Maha Nassar behind the scenes of the series "Immunity," which was followed by a post by Maha Nassar on "Facebook" where she attacked her colleague, before deleting it a few hours later.
Media reports revealed that the series author, Amr El Daly, began making modifications to the remaining scenes that bring Maha Nassar and Hend Sabry together, with the aim of avoiding any possible friction between the actresses following the recent statements.
The head of the acting profession in Egypt, Dr. Ashraf Zaki, spoke with Maha Nassar and asked her to delete the post attacking Hend, which she agreed to, but she stipulated not to edit or delete any of her scenes, threatening to republish if they were altered.
However, the head refused this condition, affirming that respecting the artistic work is more important than any personal dispute.
Earlier, Maha Nassar had posted a vague message on Facebook, stating that she would not forgive those who transgress against her or try to demean her, indicating that she had remained silent for two months towards the actions of an actress with whom she shares the leading role in a drama series soon to be aired, and had filed complaints about it with several concerned parties to no avail, according to her statement.
Her message indirectly referred to Hend Sabry, while she absolved her colleague Huda El Itreby, who was also attacked on social media, saying: "I wish you, Hend, would stop running campaigns against me and Huda, because Huda is not involved in the problem."
Notably, Huda El Itreby indirectly responded to the crisis by posting pictures with Hend Sabry from the series' behind-the-scenes, indicating the good relationship between them, contrary to what Maha Nassar had portrayed.
Divorce of Maha Nassar and director Hussein El Manbawi
Media reports announced that a formal divorce occurred between Maha Nassar and the director Hussein El Manbawi, due to disagreements that arose during the filming of the series "Immunity." Although the news was circulating, both parties remained silent, continuing to shoot their scenes professionally to ensure the series was not affected and was ready for the Ramadan season.
The series "Immunity" is not the only project that brings together the pair Maha Nassar and Hussein El Manbawi, as they are also together in another project scheduled to air after Ramadan, which is the series "El Meter" starring Amr Saad, where Maha Nassar finished filming about two weeks of her scenes, and is scheduled to continue filming after Ramadan.
It's noteworthy that Maha Nassar married director Hussein El Manbawi in 2021 after a love story that began during their first artistic collaboration through the series "El Fetewa" 2020, then they collaborated again after that in many artistic works, from the most prominent are "Jazeerat Ghamam," "Akherr Dor," "Souq El Kanto."
