Atiyah Blatant Israeli assault

Khaberni - The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Khamis Hussein Atiyah, condemns the dangerous decisions taken recently by what is known as (the Israeli Ministerial Security Cabinet - the Cabinet) concerning the occupied West Bank territories, considering them an unprecedented escalation in the actual annexation process and the consolidation of occupation by force and piracy.
Dr. Atiyah stated in a released statement that the abolition of the Jordanian law regulating the land, opening property registries, renewing land purchase committees, and extending the occupation's authority in planning, building, and demolition, including areas classified as (A) and (B), constitutes a complete upheaval against international law, and a deliberate destruction of all political and legal references and seizing Palestinian land through piracy and theft.
He added that these decisions are a fully-fledged colonial replacement project, aimed at changing the identity of the land; imposing forced demographic realities, and undermining any possibility of establishing an independent sovereign Palestinian state.
He emphasized that tampering with laws that were in effect in the West Bank prior to the occupation is described as legal piracy, a blatant assault on the legal and historical status of the occupied lands, and a clear violation of relevant Security Council resolutions.
He holds the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives accountable to the international community for the continuation of these policies, warning that the international silence has become an indirect partnership in undermining regional stability and igniting hotspots, calling on the Security Council, the European Union, and the Arab League to move from statements of condemnation to deterrent political and legal actions.
He confirmed that Jordan, with its wise Hashemite leadership, its Parliament, and its people will remain in the front trench defending Palestinian rights, and that these decisions will not change the fact that the West Bank is occupied territory, and that the rights of the Palestinian people to their land are inalienable and non-negotiable.
