Khaberni - The Egyptian security services managed to apprehend a suspect accused of committing a double murder, in which a young man and his elderly mother fell victim inside their home in Kafr El Sheikh, while he was attempting to flee to Libya after the crime.
The security investigations revealed that the suspect, motivated by revenge due to previous disagreements with the deceased over accusations of harassing the latter’s fiancée, ended with a customary session that obliged him to pay a fine of 32,000 Egyptian pounds as compensation and medical expenses for the accused.
The investigations explained that the suspect felt humiliated after that session, so he planned revenge with a diabolical scheme, prepared a knife and a 6-meter iron ladder to execute his plan.
The accused admitted that he sneaked into the victims' home at dawn on the day of the incident using the iron ladder, infiltrated the young man's room, stabbed him with the knife, and slaughtered him until he died, then killed his mother who woke up to her son's screams, and before that, he tied up their movements with ropes.
The accused added that after the crime, he tried to flee the country across the Libyan borders and sought help from his uncle to dispose of the bodies, but the latter refused to participate.
The security forces in Kafr El Sheikh, in coordination with the Mersa Matruh Security Directorate, successfully located and apprehended the suspect in a swift security operation amid a state of anger and dismay among the villagers who condemned the heinousness of the crime.
