Khaberni - The Energy and Mineral Regulatory Commission carried out a field inspection campaign in the Al-Mashqar area of the capital province on Sunday, in cooperation with the South Amman Police Directorate/Naour Security Center, which resulted in the seizure of machinery and equipment used in loading and extraction operations at unlicensed sites, including a loading vehicle and loader, in addition to 2 jackhammers, and the seized machinery and equipment were impounded in preparation for completing the necessary legal procedures according to the effective legislation.
The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Authority, Engineer Ziad Al-Saayida, emphasized the continuation of intensifying inspection campaigns to ensure the protection of national resources and public money, in cooperation with partners in the Ministry of Interior and security agencies, praising the ongoing cooperation with security partners and their vital role in enhancing the national control system on this vital sector.
This campaign is part of a series of intensive monitoring campaigns carried out by the Authority in various regions of the Kingdom to control infringements on natural resources, ensuring that all entities operating in the mining sector obtain official licenses, comply with public safety standards and environmental conditions, and enhance the optimal exploitation of resources in a manner that serves the national economy and the public interest.
