Khaberni - The Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Initiative Movement, Mustafa Barghouti, considered on Sunday that the approval by the mini security cabinet (cabinet) of decisions leading to a radical change in the occupied West Bank, is the most dangerous since 1967.
The mini security cabinet, on Sunday, approved a series of decisions presented by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Defense Minister Israel Katz, which lead to a radical change in the legal and civil reality in the occupied West Bank.
Barghouti said in statements to the "Al Mamlaka" TV, that the decision will make the lands of the West Bank open to settlers.
He added that "this decision is considered the final nail in the coffin of the Oslo Agreement."
He pointed out that the Israeli decisions strip what remains of Palestinian authority over the Ibrahimi Mosque, affirming they turn the mosque entirely into Jewish control.
He indicated that the silence of the international community on the Israeli violations leads to increased violations in the Palestinian territories.
He explained that the Israeli occupation authorities in the past 10 years have increased the construction of settlements and military checkpoints, and isolated some cities by cutting off geographic communication between cities in the West Bank.
He noted that what Israel does in the West Bank is a repetition of what it did to the lands it occupied in 1948, adding that it is attempting to take control over all Palestinian lands.
He discussed how the Israeli occupation authorities release settler groups to intimidate Palestinians and practice terrorism against them as they did in 1947 and 1948.
He mentioned that Israeli terrorism succeeded in displacing more than 60 residential sites, particularly Bedouin gatherings, confirming that the perseverance of Palestinians is the only knot failing the Zionist project whether in Gaza or the West Bank or the occupied interior.
He emphasized that uniting the Palestinian national front is also a way to confront the schemes of the Israeli occupation.
It is expected that the decisions will lead to profound changes in land management and registration in the occupied West Bank, deepen the annexation plans and allow for the demolition of buildings owned by Palestinians in areas "A", and aim at a significant expansion of settlements, such that their cancellation is coupled with legal complexities.
An official statement explained that among these decisions, the most significant is the lifting of confidentiality on land records in the West Bank and making them public, after having been blocked, which the ministry says will enhance transparency and facilitate land purchase processes.
The statement referred to the renewal of the land purchase committee, which had ceased operations about 20 years ago, thereby allowing the initiation of land purchase operations in the West Bank.
