Khaberni - Luis Diaz scored a hat-trick and Harry Kane added two goals, leading Bayern Munich to a crushing 5-1 victory over ten-man Hoffenheim on Sunday, ensuring the defending Bundesliga champions regained their six-point lead at the top.
Kane's goals came from two penalties in the first half, while Diaz scored the subsequent three goals, raising Bayern's total to 54 points from 21 matches, comfortably ahead of second-place Borussia Dortmund, who won at their host Wolfsburg on Saturday.
Hoffenheim's defender Kevin Akpoguma received a red card in the 17th minute for a foul that allowed Kane to open the scoring from a penalty spot, but the visiting team managed to equalize through Andrej Kramaric, before Bayern dominated the game and took control over the injury-plagued visiting team.
Hoffenheim remained in third place with 42 points, after their series of consecutive league victories was halted at five matches.
